Kuuma (meaning Hot in English) is the hottest cafe in Punavuori, maybe even in whole Helsinki. This hip spot is owned by two twenty-something sisters, and you can also see their mother helping out every now and again.

Happy owners hanging out

Perfect americano with a rich snickers style raw cake

Previously Kuuma was located in a smaller space in Pursimiehenkatu, but re-opened in a bigger and newly renovated space around the corner in Albertinkatu in August. The turquoise floor, friendly service and neighbourhood hang out atmosphere make Kuuma the place to be; luckily the cafe offers the best coffee I have had in Helsinki, gluten free avocado toast (hell yes!), some scrumptious croissants, yummy raw cakes, and fresh pressed juices. For lunch one can enjoy a raw spring roll, too.

The turquoise floor and light colored lamps give Kuuma an airy and summery feeling

Kuuma is the place to go for a catch-up with a friend, to do some remote work on the laptop, or to have a chat with the owners and other customers. Even though the cafe doesn’t have a couch, it definitely feels like a living room. And furry hairy friends are welcome, too!

If you happen to be wandering around Kamppi or Punavuori area, and get hungry/the munchies/ coffee lust, keep Kuuma in your mind. They do oat milk cappuccinos, too!
